Summer Academy Evenings at Silver Leys

When the universities break up for summer, the students are left in the lurch without their polo fix. Blues set in after the fun of “summer SUPA” and so MHF set about solving the problem. Every Wednesday this summer, we have been running lessons and chukkas for beginners, novices and intermediate players from universities across the country.

Joining in the madness we had groups of young farmers and school students in the lessons with some players starting polo for the first time, under the expert instruction from our team of coaches. The BBQ was fired up, the beers were on ice and there was music down by the clubhouse, naturally.

There are still a few light enough evenings this season, and the team will be running lessons right up until the unis start back in September. at this point we will be moving into the arena for a winter even bigger than last year, both in our home arena at Harlow Tye and our exciting venue in London, Docklands!
